There is no once-upon-a-time

The story’s beginning sinks before all of creation

Swallowed by the eternal

That was before the stars shone.

Do you want to know?

From where do we meet each other?

Do you want to remember?

When did we know each other?

Do you want to feel?

What it was that made us

Who we are today?

The coil time back to its beginning

And when the crocus blooms

Sink back into the earth

Let the tulip shrivel

To the dust of what was

And the forest fired into ashes

To the heavens drifts incense smoke

Let the ocean swell into itself

And turn rain back into the sky

Let the earth catch fire

And plummet back into the sun

Find me near, drinking the fire of time,

Let the galaxies tumble

And collide with each other

Back into inexistence

See the stars darken

And swallow the light of tomorrow.

Let it all collide against the chorus of angels

And back into the screams

That creation into play

Watch as Seraphim adore the two that were.

Praise that was creation, the peace is torn,

And shove it back into creation’s throat.

Watch god swallow it until the sound of thunder

This leaves only the two of us

Dancing flying loving over the halls of souls.

Remember the connection

Of the infinite, the beauty,

Where god had given the power of creation

We loved the angels into being

We kissed wings upon their backs

For them to soar into the light of god.

We caressed vision into their core

And gave them a voice in worship forever.

The Cherubim’s chorus sung out through time

To prepare the soil for things to come

We were the vision of eternal

Filling the hall of souls

The eternal continued as we danced.

Then came the virtues on a gifted wing

And danced and adored us.

They shone upon us and god’s light

Twirling and swirling our being

Into the depth of all eternity;

Separated us and tore us from each other;

Then……..

               All……..

                               Stopped……….

In a thunder’s quiet moment:

The stillness wept and the powers cried

A weeping in fear that all would end

As they all drifted into the dark

I saw you slain,

Slaughtered,

Lifeless,

In the light of my darkest moment.

I held you, raised you from your state

And poured your essence into the hall of souls

And the Principalities made finite,

Ending, closing, rendering all into nothing.

I looked into god’s face

One last time

He wept for what was.

He wept for what was to be.

He wept for his end

And the slaughter

That was too torn……

He saw the tear that ran down my cheek

And as it hit the hall of souls

God opened his mouth

And from it came a storm

That shattered the quiet of heaven

From the light and dark

Began its battle for night and day

And the universe spilled out from him onto his feet and he wept some more

The explosions of stars

Lit the path upon which I ran

And drew a breath

And slaughtered the angels of heaven and hell

Crucified winged ones and serpents too.

Demolished towers and walls

Putting out fire with blood

Closing up heaven setting the mansion ablaze

And shutting up hell pouring smoke from the fire.

I locked the doors and laid waste to these minions.

The bellows of smoke and dust

I poured my tears into god.

Turned away

I walked upon the universe

And tore myself open

And poured my essence into the hall of souls.

My bloodied wings and anguished breath;

I fell into the pit with my love

And humanity came into being.

Once when we were

Before angels had wings

We knew an end was near

And from the anguish

We would be together again

Within the hearts and souls, we gave birth.

One day soared with each other

For once when we were

I promised never to let you go

Yet could only hold you as soul.

Wandering the ages looking for your being

Lost in the Hall of Souls,

Into the void, I fell through the ages

Hold you with soft kisses

Never faltering as the storm rages.
