Old starts

New beginnings

I get the sense of something new beginning

A new aura has come upon me

But it vanishes thought perhaps

I’d let it go although

The need to seek it out awakes it

Thus, fills me with a euphoria intense

Eluded me always short.

I take to pages of my life

Enlighten the self and ponder

The moment like a loving wife

Holds a second worth of thunder

That lets her turn the pages of living

And gives me a reason for every thought

To construct the ballast of verse giving

And look back to what was wrought

T’is wanting as the leaving of a lover

Which gave the rant-and-rave sonorous call

For when the pages turn day and forever

The sun may rise like a Crocus

From under the cold of what was once me
